As the Director of Photography/Cinematographer, my role helped to achieve the Director's vision for this short film. I managed the technical aspects of the visuals, such as shot composition and movement, and I organised the camera and lighting equipment we needed to achieve the film's overall look.
Escape the Hunt is an action-comedy short film that aims to empower communities within Aotearoa, and show the strength of teamwork. When Ariki, Brandon and Jason are forced together during an attack on their local community centre, they must learn to recognise each other’s strengths to escape. When they draw the attention of escaped convicts, and their own chances of escape look grim, the trio must find a way to work together to save themselves and their fellow community members.
