Leaving Home Tonight is a window into the home of Laila. This piece explores the Bengal War Famine of 1943, and its residual effects on the livelihood of rural Indian communities. Laila's home is displayed in disarray after the aftermath of a cyclone and explores its condition after it has been abandoned. This model is an initial iteration of what it would look like as a miniature for museum experiences.
