On The Inside is a 3D narrative mystery game that sets out to humanize both zombie and patron. We were interested due to zombies or infected being persecuted as hostiles in most game media. It was important to explore how players could choose which narrative they went with either system or infection. I was the Creative Director which means my main areas were character design, UI design and environment design.
On The Inside is based in a futuristic society where the sick are banished out from the world, hospitals are prisons and the infected are going feral. This is a game about fear, the ugly side of fear and how it can influence the majority of society. You play as an investigator following a missing person who was last seen at a recent prison break.
