With Can’t Beat Wellington, we aimed to create a film that was both experimental and commercial, in readiness for industry practice beyond University. For this short film, I worked in the roles of Writer and Director, and felt at home developing the story, from script to final product. I’m thrilled to finally show 9 months of effort and open doors into the film industry.
Can’t Beat Wellington on a Good Night is a bold and picturesque journey of two strangers who, overwhelmed by the chaos of the city, slowly fall into sync through the language of dance. Captivated by the nightlife of Wellington and fueled by emotion, can the community be the help they need to confront their fears?
