Bachelor of Creative Media Production
Through Take Them Swimming, we aimed to produce a relevant, meaningful, impactful short film that not only celebrated women on screen but on set as well. As Writer, Director, and Producer of this project I was challenged with creating a piece that said a lot about the challenges young women face in a short moment of time. I believe Take Them Swimming is an emotional yet lighthearted piece that gives insight into our perspective in a frighteningly patriarchal world and I am extremely proud of the work my team and I have created.
Take Them Swimming is a short film giving insight into the trials and tribulations of navigating change as a young woman in the modern world. In this funny and exhausting adventure, Tilly finds herself evaluating what is really important to her, and how she can fulfil herself amidst flights, fights, feelings, and... catfish.
