As the lead programmer, I was responsible for coding and assembling the technical demo for Hnefa. It was an interesting challenge, and the research I did on strategies for the underlying board game Hnefatafl (and how to write AI for such a complex game) made it all the more valuable.
Inspired by the traditional Norse board game hnefatafl, Hnefa is a tactical diplomacy game where the player must speak to the human counterparts of board game pieces in order to have them move. Will you be able to say the right thing and save your king? Or will your choices lead to the downfall of your village?
