A two-part project, WA$TED set out to embrace the future of fashion as one of circularity and creativity, aligning with nature and addressing our climate crisis. Inspired by Frida Kahlo’s creative practices and need for escapism from her painful realities. Challenging design processes through play and utilising wasted second-hand materials as a start. Hoping to inspire impact in the industry as more conscious, creative and environmentally focused.
In collaboration, we shared the vision of sustainability and consumer awareness concerning fashion and textiles waste, Separately showcasing the broken systems and the impact seen. However, sharing the aim to inspire and educate In learning to make small but impactful choices. By producing a mix of curated visual, text-based guidance, we hope to offer inspiration from our perspectives. We are shifting to circular thinking to benefit our planet and wardrobes.
