Sorcha’s work considers the uncanny nature of our late-capital climate through the production of Hollywood grade moving images. These cinematic compositions place frames around various elements of our material and digitally mediated realities. Inspecting the age of individualism and its embedded pop culture narratives, her practice sets the stage for unexpected interplays and assemblages to emerge, ready for consumption.

Here, filmic compositions are assembled from misrememberences of movie scenes and images long lost to the feed. Cinematic conventions are bent to a mediaeval score as scenes of endurance and empathy are stress tested—reused and recycled in unending dichotomies that hope to one day deliver meaning.
