Ginell Sim

This project looks at photography and its relationship to death and death anxiety. My art practice focuses on aspects of trauma and relies on personal experience to inform the emotions I am trying to evoke. These works materialise in three forms. Firstly, the photography of sites where people died; secondly, cameraless photography at family burial locations and finally; the exploration of funeral homes and the death industry.
