Building on debates of graphic authorship, A Coming of Graphic Age(ncy) investigates how a contemporary graphic design practice can discover agency by undertaking experimental modes of working. Moving beyond conventional methods of design, new modes are identified where processes are altered in favour of placing the designer in unfamiliar ways of working. This MFA project rethinks graphic design evolution to realise the potential for a multifunctional contemporary practice.
