My art practice materialises the intersectional and inseparable worlds of my Christian beliefs and Fa’a Sāmoa as a tama’ita’i Sāmoa in Aotearoa. In this research, laborious hand and machine embroidery processes adorn beaten white pieces of Siapo. I critically reflect on intangible values of spirituality, patience, knowledge sharing, endurance and meditation through repetition of stitch and the puncturing of fibre to create alternative forms of Siapo practice and to produce new cultural memories.
