Garden of Convolution is a large scale, speculative, transitional cityscape that reimagines the future of Te Awakairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt as one of human-nature interconnectedness in the midst of environmental rewilding. Informed by theories of ecological meshworks and an impending climate emergency, the project critiques the contemporary separation of the (Western capitalist) human and more-than-human ecologies, envisioning a simple modular system with the capacity to (re)generate a convoluted series of socio-ecosystems.
