Dissect is a response to the complexity and interconnectedness of New Zealand’s governing systems through a series of speculative deconstructions of governing body buildings. They are the very initial intake of breath from which critique and conversation can stem from. Fantastical, convoluted and extreme deconstruction methods offer critique of the deep rooted issues that colonially derived bureaucracy birthed, to make space for re-imagining of not only the physical spaces, but more importantly the intangible systems that manifest within.
