Generational Nostalgia is a collection of objects recreated using Textile processes. For this project, I surveyed over 130 participants asking them what object pops into their mind when they think of nostalgia and why that is. Along with this, I asked them to specify which generation they were born in to see the differences in objects throughout time. As we have lived through the recent pandemic, there has been an increase in people connecting with their nostalgia as a form of escapism. My project brings this idea forward by showcasing the objects which bring people a spark of nostalgic joy.
