Comfort Ties is a knitted textile project exploring my personal experience unlearning toxic self love. Hand knitting requires patience, care and time, as does true self love. Using my own body as reference the garment ties the body into equally comforting and restrictive positions, a comment on the complexities of learning to truly love yourself in the age of toxic self love.
