Wai is a digital tool that facilitates education around safety in open water environments for children in Aotearoa. Wai is a thirty-day challenge that goes alongside the school swimming curriculum and is designed to be completed within the classroom. Once the app and school-provided lessons are completed students will experience a Beach Day facilitated with Surf Life Saving New Zealand. Wai empowers students with safety techniques needed to help reduce preventative drownings in New Zealand.
