Bachelor of Design with Honours
Dear Reader, Ingat' is a collection of poetic letters addressed to the reader inspired by Filipino storytelling. These letters are arranged alphabetically by a Bisayan pre-colonial script called 'Badlit.' Using the letterpress to print onto bamboo paper, it is a modern reinterpretation of carving Badlit onto bamboo. In hopes to validate and heal displacement of Filipino tauiwi, I explored how storytelling and language gives us licence to reclaim our cultural narrative.
