The mahi of Good Bitches Baking is close to my heart - making and giving home baking is a magical thing. I wanted to celebrate this special exchange while also exploring the provocation inherent in the organisation’s name - what do we mean when we use the word ‘bitch’? This is what led me to directing Flour Power. It’s been really special to examine these issues through filmmaking.

Flour Power is a short documentary following six volunteers for the charity Good Bitches Baking. For some of our Good Bitches, joining this charity was just icing on the cake. For others, it was a source of happiness and peace in otherwise turbulent times. Our aim is to support the organisation's goal of reclaiming the word 'bitch', to share the power found in domestic spaces, and to celebrate the magic of home baking.
