As the 1st Assistant Director (1st AD), my role involved shoot day logistics. This included script breakdowns, scheduling for shoot, managing actors, location scouting, venue booking, and health and safety. I collaborated with the Director and Director of Photography to achieve the overall vision and make the project a reality.
Escape the Hunt is an action-comedy short film that aims to empower communities within Aotearoa, and show the strength of teamwork. When Ariki, Brandon and Jason are forced together during an attack on their local community centre, they must learn to recognise each other’s strengths to escape. When they draw the attention of escaped convicts, and their own chances of escape look grim, the trio must find a way to work together to save themselves and their fellow community members.
