As producer of Escape the Hunt, I was responsible for making sure the team’s vision for this project was able to happen. Ensuring we had funding, the right cast, and keeping the team on track. As editor, I was in charge of collating the footage into the final edit. I learned an incredible amount throughout the process and within both my roles, as well as reaffirming my love for editing.

Escape the Hunt is an action-comedy short film that aims to empower communities within Aotearoa, and show the strength of teamwork. When Ariki, Brandon and Jason are forced together during an attack on their local community centre, they must learn to recognise each other’s strengths to escape. When they draw the attention of escaped convicts, and their own chances of escape look grim, the trio must find a way to work together to save themselves and their fellow community members.
